Last week Big Spaceship and Firstborn got together for their first (and hopefully not the last) “sort of techie-geek Olympics.” We competed in 3 events: Basketball, foosball and ping pong. While we swept Firstborn in foosball, they had a deep roster for basketball which allowed them to rest up and thus, they took us on the court. So it came down to ping pong with rumors of 2 ringers from Firstborn.

Big Spaceship won the 1st bracket easily putting them all the way into the finals. The second bracket, however, was won by both teams and as it turned out we drew names out of a hat to keep it interesting for the 2nd round. This turned out to be a mistake because Big Spaceship then never made it to the finals. In the end it was Firstborn’s Max (whom I played in the 1st round and I might add score the most points against) who defeated his colleague Jens (Germany v. Sweden) to take the trophy in a 2 game sweep.

Congrats to Firstborn for their win. They had complete control of Big Spaceship’s website for 24 hours and I have to say I’m quite impressed with what they did. The initial 24 hours is over for the redirect however it seems as though they are keeping the mockup of Big Spaceship’s site active.
